Irving, Texas — September 15, 2003
– PracticeHwy.com, Inc. (“PracticeHwy”), a global
leader in reproductive science business solutions,
announced today that
Center Of Reproductive Medicine,
PA (“CORM”) has gone “live” with PracticeHwy’s eIVF™
software to streamline business processes and enable
real-time communication and management of clinical
information.
Much more than just electronic medical records, eIVF
covers all functional aspects of enterprise-wide
scheduling and communications, patient management,
protocol compliance, clinical data management and
repository. With a rich set of workflow automation
features including andrology, embryology, fertilization,
data analysis and inventor control modules, eIVF is a
flexible and adaptable practice management solution
designed specifically to meet the needs of reproductive
science practices. "I'm
thrilled that we have found an electronic medical record
package which reflects an infertility practice's unique
needs,” said Kristen Carlson, MBA, Practice
Administrator for CORM. “The promise of any electronic
medical record is to provide efficiency and to improve
patient care. Selecting eIVF,
a system that melds to our processes rather than the
other way around, will enable us to operate even more
efficiently."
The Implementation process included specific guidance
from CORM in the analysis and design of the protocol
compliance module to monitor standard operating
procedures. PracticeHwy developed and integrated the
protocol compliance functionality which addresses the
“checks and balances” required in ensuring that patients
are tested for pertinent diseases and conditions prior
to or during ART procedures.
“One of the biggest challenges I face is to help my
staff become more efficient. The completion of
pre-requisite lab checklists and the subsequent
follow-ups to ensure compliance has proven to be
necessary, yet extremely time consuming for our medical
team,” said Tammi Viancos, RN, BSN, clinical director
for CORM. “I am extremely
pleased with PracticeHwy’s willingness to add a
compliance component to eIVF. This feature
will notify our staff as to the status of the
requirements, enhance our interoffice communications and
eliminate the redundancy of efforts and the paperwork
required for each initiated cycle."
“We
chose PracticeHwy’s eIVF to replace our existing EMR
because it delivers the essential components necessary
in a successful RE practice,” said Vicki
Schnell, medical director for CORM. “Our goal is to use
eIVF to enable the center to operate leaner, improve
efficiency, enhance the delivery of quality patient
care, and facilitate interoffice communication. The
implementation of eIVF will allow us to enhance our
offerings, reduce costs, improve our efficiency and
handle future growth. It gives us the edge to offering
world-class services to our patients and partners. This
will ultimately result in an increase in
patient satisfaction and successful outcomes."
‘‘We're delighted to be involved with CORM,’’ said Jawid
Rahimi, vice president for PracticeHwy.
“Practices seeking increased
efficiencies throughout the RE verticals will continue
to turn to PracticeHwy, and we strive to forge long-term
partnerships with our customers, like CORM, who are
committed to operational excellence and increased
patient satisfaction.
We’re dedicated to continuously enhancing the
functionality of our solutions that provide the scale
and scope to automate and support forward thinking
organizations such as CORM.’’
